GeomSurf Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GeomSurf ("the game", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Android or iOS application. GeomSurf is operated by the independent developer Geometry Serf.
Information handled by the game
Gameplay progress, settings, earned virtual currency, unlocked content, and similar game state are stored locally on your device. We do not receive this local data unless you choose to send it to us when requesting support.
When you use online multiplayer, Unity services may create an anonymous player identifier and process technical session data needed to authenticate the device, create or join a relay session, connect players, operate the match, prevent abuse, and diagnose service failures.
GeomSurf does not request access to your precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, photos, or files for gameplay.
Rewarded advertising and consent
GeomSurf offers optional rewarded advertisements. You choose whether to watch an ad, and an in-game reward is granted only after the advertising provider reports that the rewarded ad was completed.
Advertising services may process device identifiers (including an advertising identifier where available and permitted), IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and operating-system information, app interactions, ad requests, impressions, clicks, consent choices, and diagnostic or anti-fraud signals. These data may be used to deliver, measure, limit, personalize, and protect advertising, depending on your region, device settings, age status, and consent choices.
Where required, GeomSurf presents a consent message before requesting ads. You may accept, refuse, or manage the available choices. Refusing personalized advertising does not remove your right to use the game; advertising may instead be non-personalized or limited when available.
Service providers
We use third parties that process information under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Unity, including Unity Gaming Services and LevelPlay/ironSource, for anonymous authentication, multiplayer relay, rewarded advertising, mediation, reporting, and fraud prevention.
- Google, including Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform, for advertising, consent management, measurement, and fraud prevention.
The advertising partners available through mediation may change. The consent message shown in the game provides the current vendor list and controls applicable to your region.
Legal bases and purposes
Depending on your location, information is processed with your consent, to provide services you request, to comply with law, or for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, service reliability, and non-personalized measurement where permitted. You may withdraw consent through the privacy options made available in the game. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Data sharing, sale, and retention
We do not sell personal information ourselves. Service providers may share data with their vendors or advertising partners as described in their policies and in the consent interface. Providers retain information for the periods necessary to operate their services, satisfy legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Local game data remains on your device until you clear the app data or uninstall the game, subject to device backup behavior.
International transfers and security
Providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live and use recognized safeguards where required. We and our providers use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children
GeomSurf is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Age thresholds and parental-consent rules can vary by country. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Your choices and rights
You can reset or limit your device advertising identifier and control tracking in Android or iOS settings. Where privacy choices are required, the game provides a way to review them again. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the game, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
